Upgrading your HP Printer Memory

The performance of your printer is very important, not only in business but in domestic needs as well. You don’t want a printer that takes ages to print out a customer product guide or a simple letter from your computer. If you are using a HP printer, or any other computer for that matter, you can increase its speed by upgrading its memory. However, before you do that, there are a couple of things you need to have in mind.

First, printer memories differ in capacity (measured in Megabytes), number of pins, and type of module (e.g, DDR or SDR). Not all HP printer memory modules are compatible with each other, and, therefore, before you hit the stores for a memory, you need to establish the kind of Hp printer that you have. For instance, a 512MB DDR printer memory with 200 pins can only be compatible with HP Laserjet 4650 and 5550 Printer Series. If you find these terms hard to grip, then you can find a printer expert to get the right memory module for you and fix it as well. Else, don’t take chances as you may mess up with the whole device by inserting incompatible memory modules.
